Draft system components :

Draft system device is composed of coupler, draft, yoke and coupler tail frame, etc., and is installed in the traction beam at the end of the frame under the vehicle.

Coupler :

In Chinese Railway freight wagon coupler basic requirement is a below :

Ø  Enough strength

Ø  easy to identify the connection state and to avoid the accident of train separation.

Ø  Secure the hook under any condition

Ø  Simple structure, convenient operation, easy disassembly, to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance

AAR Coupler :

There are many couplers in the freight wagon ,like AAR ,LAF ,south Africa and so on .The AAR Coupler is the most widely used coupler . It have included type E, F ,E/F and H (FR is included in the F type ).  

l  E type coupler:  Type of E coupler have an E-type head with a horizontal slot

through which the draft or cross key passes

 Type :E60EE (E60DE) , SBE60EE ,SBE60DE ,SBE67DE,SE67DE
