The Type 17 Coupler features a specialized interlocking wing design. In the event of a derailment or extreme track verticality, the interlocking interface prevents the coupler heads from separating vertically, significantly reducing the risk of train pile-ups and protecting the Railway Axle and bogie integrity of adjacent cars.
4.2 Wear-Resistant Knuckle Technology
The knuckle is the primary wear component. Our CR couplers feature:
